Angela’s first passion was in emergency medicine and began her career as an emergency medical technician. Soon thereafter, it was combined with a passion for disaster management as her very first EMS call was evacuating a high rise assisted living facility due to flooding. Today she is leading the Emergency Management and Business Continuity Program at Caritas Christi Healthcare in Boston and serves as a consultant to both the public and private sectors. Also, Angela can be found working on many issues-violence against women, gender issues in disasters, advancing the field of emergency management, leadership development for girls & women, education and family advocacy.She has been involved in supporting fundraising, relief and recovery efforts following disasters since 1990. She is one of the founding members of BCPWHO and over the past 17 years has been a Disaster Action Team Member, has served on several committees on emergency response and has developed academic programs in business continuity & emergency management. In 2005 she was named on the list of the Top 300 Women Leaders in New England. She is a speaker, writer, and a passionate advocate for humanitarian and woman’s issues.
